As many of you know , Walt Disney World is a place for the entire family. But the fact of the matter is, is that there are height requirements for children in order for them to get on the ride. This of course is for safety measures to keep everyone safe. We know that it can be a bummer for a child not to be able to go on a ride, but you can click here and see a full list of the best rides for you and your children to ride together.

Currently, as of 2019, here are the height requirements for Walt Disney World attractions at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Keep in mind if the attraction your looking for doesn’t show up, then there is no height requirement for that particular attraction.

Magic Kingdom

  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 40″
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 38″
  • Space Mountain – 44″
  • Splash Mountain – 40
  • The Barnstormer – 35″
  • Tomorrowland Speedway – 32″
  • TRON – Expected 2021


  • Mission: Space – 44″
  • Soarin’ – 40″
  • Test Track – 40″
  • Ratatouille (Opening Summer 2020) – No Height Requirement
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (Expected Opening 2021)

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Alien Swirling Saucers – 32″
  • Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – 48″
  • Slinky Dog Dash – 38″
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue – 40″
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – 40″
  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 38″
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 40″

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

  • DINOSAUR – 40″
  • Expedition Everest – 44″
  • Flight of Passage – 44″

Now of course, besides the height requirement you should always check the outside of the ride for the posted information about the rides. Many rides have restrictions that advise pregnant women, people with heart problems, etc. to not go on the rides. If you have any questions, ask a cast member and they will be happy to help you.
